Above are the choices for postal indicias using our Permit. You can replace Permit number with your own if you have one.
As a service to our valued customers, AM-PM runs every mailing file prior to mailing against the CASS Certificationfile provided by the USPS. CASScertification is a process that standardizes your addresses, per USPS requirements by spelling the street name correctly, properly abbreviating directional’s and street designators, and removing any illegal and unnecessary punctuation. It will add the 4-digit ZIP+4 extension onto the basic 5-digit ZIP code.
Overall, those records that can be ZIP+4 encoded are deliverable – those that are not encoded may not be deliverable. All of this is done to make your mail reach its destination promptly. By not standardizing your mail file you would have higher postage rates and slower delivery times. Address standardization is a positive step toward improved address quality and is a cost-effective operation for both postal customers and the Postal Service.
AM-PM Mailing Service provides you with services that can lower production and postage costs by reducing Undeliverable-As-Addressed (UAA) mail and by qualifying more of your mail pieces for postage discounts. We are able to do this for our customers through USPS approved methods such as Coding Accuracy Support System (CASSCertification), Delivery Point Validation (DPV), and National Change of Address (NCOA).
DPV is an address validation process, not an address standardization or correction process. DPV does not append any missing data or correct any address elements. It simply tells you what the likelihood of your individual mailing pieces is to be delivered.
As an added service, AM-PM matches every mailing address against the USPS DPV file. This is a way to assure that each address in your mailing list matches one of the 145,000,000+ delivery points (deliverable addresses) on file with the USPS. Use of DPV, along with our corrective actions, helps to reduce the amount of undeliverable mail pieces, which in turn results in more efficient mail processing and greater delivery to your intended recipient.
By processing your mailings through the USPS certified NCOA process, current change of address information is available to you, that can help reduce your undeliverable mail. Updated, computerized change-of-address information for the entire country is provided by the USPS on a weekly basis and all changes are kept in the NCOA file for four years.
Valuable customer names that would have been scrapped have now been updated to receive your current mailing. By having us return the updated file to you, and by you updating your file internally, you can be assured that your valuable customers will also receive any future mailings. In addition to change-of-address information, NCOA also provides a “Return Code” for each address. This is a way for us to determine if an address on your database matched to the NCOA file or not. By looking at the codes, we can better understand why a match may not have been made. These codes can be used to determine if we want to risk sending to addresses deemed undeliverable by the USPS.
